How do I clear cache?

Overview

Cache is temporary data stored by your browser or website to help pages load faster. Sometimes it can cause outdated content to display, so clearing cache helps refresh your website properly.

1. Clear browser cache

Google Chrome

  1. Open Chrome
  2. Click the three dots (⋮) in the top-right corner
  3. Go to Settings → Privacy and security
  4. Click Clear browsing data
  5. Select:
    • Cached images and files
  6. Click Clear data

Microsoft Edge

  1. Open Edge
  2. Go to Settings → Privacy, search, and services
  3. Under Clear browsing data, click Choose what to clear
  4. Select Cached images and files
  5. Click Clear now

Safari (iPhone/Mac)

  • Go to Settings → Safari → Clear History and Website Data

2. Clear WordPress cache (if using a plugin)

If your site uses a caching plugin:

  1. Log in to WordPress
  2. Go to your caching plugin (e.g. LiteSpeed Cache, WP Super Cache)
  3. Click Purge Cache or Clear Cache

3. Clear hosting/server cache (if available)

Some hosting setups include server-level caching:

  1. Log in to DirectAdmin or hosting panel
  2. Look for Cache Management or performance tools
  3. Click Clear/Purge Cache
