How do I set up email in Microsoft Outlook?

Overview

You can connect your hosting email to Microsoft Outlook using IMAP so your emails stay synced across all devices.

Before You Start

Make sure you have:

  • Your full email address (e.g. info@yourdomain.com)
  • Your email password
  • Your mail server settings

Recommended IMAP Settings

Incoming Mail (IMAP)

  • Server: mail.yourdomain.com
  • Port: 993
  • Encryption: SSL/TLS
  • Username: Full email address
  • Password: Your email password

Outgoing Mail (SMTP)

  • Server: mail.yourdomain.com
  • Port: 465 (SSL) or 587 (STARTTLS)
  • Encryption: SSL/TLS or STARTTLS
  • Authentication: Required (use full email address + password)

Step-by-Step Setup in Outlook

  1. Open Microsoft Outlook
  2. Go to File → Add Account
  3. Enter your email address
  4. Click Advanced options and choose Let me set up my account manually
  5. Select IMAP
