How do I access File Manager?

Overview

The File Manager in DirectAdmin allows you to upload, edit, delete, and manage all files on your hosting account without needing FTP software.

Step-by-Step Guide

Option 1: Access via Client Area (Recommended)

1. Log in to your client portal
2. Go to Services
3. Click Manage next to your active hosting service
4. Click Control Panel Login
5. Once inside DirectAdmin, go to: System Info & Files → File Manager

Option 2: Direct Login to DirectAdmin

1. Open your browser
2. Go to: yourdomain.com:2222
3. Log in using your DirectAdmin username and password
4. Navigate to: System Info & Files → File Manager

What You Can Do in File Manager

• Upload website files
• Edit HTML, PHP, and configuration files
• Create or delete folders
• Extract ZIP files
• Manage website structure inside public_html

Important Folder

Your website files must be placed inside:

• public_html

This is the main folder that controls what appears when someone visits your website.
