Overview
DNS records control how your domain connects to services like your website, email, and subdomains. In DirectAdmin, you can manage these records directly from your control panel.
Step-by-Step Guide

Log in to your DirectAdmin control panel
- You can access this via your client portal or by visiting:

Go to: Account Manager → DNS Management

Select the domain you want to edit

You will see a list of existing DNS records such as:
- A Records (website IP address)
- CNAME Records (aliases/subdomains)
- MX Records (email routing)
- TXT Records (verification/security settings)

Click Add Record or Edit next to an existing record

Enter your changes and click Save
Common DNS Record Types
- A Record – Points your domain or subdomain to an IP address
- CNAME Record – Points one name to another domain (e.g. www → domain.com)
- MX Record – Controls where your email is delivered
- TXT Record – Used for verification (Google, SPF, DKIM, etc.)
Important Notes
- DNS changes can take up to 24–48 hours to fully propagate
- Incorrect DNS changes may cause your website or email to stop working
